What is Microsoft Academy?
The Academy offers independent online learning towards the Microsoft Office Specialist 2007, an internationally recognised Level 2 qualification. Learning is supported by a qualified learning adviser and broadband access to the internet is required to study the courses.
The Units available are: Access 2007, Excel 2007, Outlook 2007, PowerPoint 2007 and Word 2007. Gaining 4 of these units provides the additional certification of Microsoft Office Specialist Master.
Who is it for?
Students who have a Level 1 qualification (e.g. E-quals, CLAIT or ITQ) or who are familiar with Microsoft Office software. Applicants are always offered an initial assessment and familiarisation session to ensure they can maximise the benefits of this course. Please note that candidates who are accepted on to the programme will have their progress monitored.
How much is it?
A payment of £75 plus a £49.50 resources fee will provide students with unlimited access to high quality online learning, a unit text book with practice exercises and mock exam preparation materials for up to 10 weeks including the exam fee for the unit. Learners may continue on to other units within the 10-week slot if successful in their chosen unit, but will need to purchase the additional resources (£49.50) for the new unit. A further £75 will be payable for another 10 weeks when time has expired.
Enrolment
This takes about an hour and the following will be required: a passport or other photograph showing full face, cash or cheque for the fees (no cards accepted).
