DTLLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
This two-year level 4/5 course is the new professional qualification for teachers in the post compulsory education sector. It is suitable for people who have access to a minimum of 75 hours a year of teaching groups of post-16 learners. The courses below are accredited by Canterbury Christ Church University. They are assessed through the completion of assignments, reflective essays and observed teaching sessions, which are presented in portfolios for marking. Applicants are required to attend an interview and task completion session. There is a requirement to have a level 3 vocational or professional qualification for DTLLS year 1. Entry on to DTLLS year 2 is open to those who have successfully completed DTLLS year 1 or C&G 7407 stage 2 or equivalent. These courses include the exam fee.

Additional Diploma for Teaching ESOL/Literacy
For those already teaching Skills for Life and who wish to upgrade their qualifications or for those undertaking the DTLLS who wish to specialise in teaching Skills for Life. This is a level 4/5 course worth 45 credits. Applicants should have level 3 qualification in English or the equivalent.
