Opened in 1972, the Centre is a unique purpose-built centre for the education of adults. Based in the middle of Sutton town centre with easy access by rail and bus, the Centre offers excellent facilities including spacious art studios and well-equipped pottery and jewellery studios.
Classes at Sutton Centre are offered in the day and evening, Monday to Friday during term-time, and also on Saturday mornings.
There is full disabled access to all floors and a Coffee Shop in the library where teas, coffees, biscuits and sandwiches can be bought.
Disabled Access into Sutton Centre
There is a disabled entrance from the Lower Ground Square next to Age Concern.
On a first visit, ring the buzzer to speak to reception to release the door for you. You can then purchase your own swipe card from the office for independent access.

Alternatively, there is a lift in Civic Offices to the Library with access through to the main entrance of SCOLA. The Library is closed on Mondays.
If coming by taxi, the driver can enter the Civic Car Park by informing security via the intercom that he/she is dropping off a passenger. There is wheelchair access from here to the Lower Ground entrance of the college.
