The Learning and Skills Council wants your opinion to count!
The Learning and Skills Council (LSC) have commissioned an independent research agency to set up an online panel representing students in Further Education. The panel will provide a way for you to tell education providers and policy makers your opinions on education, thereby helping to shape future government initiatives.
What is The Learner Panel?
The Learner Panel offers students in Further Education the opportunity to tell learning providers and policy makers about their experiences of and views on education to improve the learning environment now and in the future. They will send you online questionnaires about education issues relevant to you and you'll get rewarded with high-street shopping vouchers in return for sharing your opinions.
The Learner Panel is run by Opinionpanel Research on behalf of the Learning and Skills Council (LSC). The research findings will be used by the LSC to help plan, evaluate and improve learning and training within England.
Why should you join?
It is important for the panel to be representative of all learners in further education across the country, so that policy decisions can be based on accurate data. The LSC therefore need students at SCOLA to join the panel so that their opinions can be taken into account.
What’s in it for you?
Once you join, you will receive invitations to take part in surveys from time to time. Each time you complete a survey the LSC will send you a £1 or £2 shopping voucher in the post.
The first TWENTY students from your SCOLA will be sent £4 in shopping vouchers just for joining up. The LSC is aiming to recruit learners to the panel by the end of the year. They’re therefore encouraging you to check out The Learner Panel within the next month!
